The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) is proud to announce that customers may begin enjoying rides on RTA's festive Holiday Trains beginning Saturday, November 28.
"The team at the Central Rail Maintenance Facility have been hard at work since late summer planning what is surely to be a bright spot in the holiday season," said RTA's Chief Operating Officer Dr. Floun'say Caver. The new holiday trains are ready for service!
“2020 has been hard on everyone, and we’re hoping that the holiday trains leave it a little brighter” says Rail Equipment Manager, Casey Blaze. "We've worked really hard to make this special, and hope everyone enjoys it as much as we do!"
This year, the team has decorated two heavy rail cars to use on the Red Line and one light rail car to use on the Blue and Green lines. Trains are outfitted with custom lights, hand painted windows and festive interior decorations. Look for these trains in regular service from November 28 through December 31! You never know, you may even come across a special North Pole visitor from time to time! We hope to see you on the holiday trains!
