UPDATE: Regular Red Line service has resumed through Tower City with the start of service Monday, September 18, 2023.
Effective immediately, and through the end of service Sunday, September 17, 2023, Red Line track assignments will be adjusted as follows:
Passengers boarding the Red Line eastbound, toward Windermere, will board the Red Line on Track 8 (the track that normally services westbound traffic to Cleveland Hopkins Airport).Passengers boarding the Red Line westbound, toward Cleveland Hopkins Airport, will board the Red Line on Track 7 (behind the Tower City station northern wall, accessed via stairs & elevator on the north end of Tower City).
RTA signage and personnel will be in place to direct customers to the appropriate location based on their travel needs.
The Red Line will also single track for a portion of travel between Tower City and Tri-C - Campus District stations, which may result in travel delays. Commuters should plan for extra time to reach their destinations.
