CLEVELAND - Two ice skating rinks are now open for recreational skating, and the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) makes it easy to get you to each of them.
Wade Oval, University Circle
- North side of Wade Oval, near the stage area.
- Ride the HealthLine down Euclid Avenue to the Adelbert Road Station, and walk north on East Boulevard.
- Complete schedule and special events. The rink is operated by University Circle Inc.
Public Square
- Ride any Rapid into the Tower City Station and walk outside.
- Many RTA buses serve Public Square. Use RTA's trip planner for details.
- The rink is sponsored by the Cleveland Foundation. Skating information is here.
The HealthLine connects the two locations. It operates 24/7 along Euclid Avenue from Public Square to Playhouse Square, connecting to Cleveland State University, MidTown, University Circle and East Cleveland.
Holiday service schedule
Remember, RTA's has an enhanced Holiday service schedule this year:
- RTA will operate Sunday/holiday service on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1
- RTA will operate Saturday service on Dec. 24, Dec 26, Dec. 31 and Jan. 2.
