RTA invites the media to attend a special groundbreaking ceremony, as RTA and civic partners announce the construction a new station at the site of the current East 34th Street Station.

CLEVELAND -- The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) invites members of the media to attend a special groundbreaking ceremony, as RTA and civic partners announce the construction a new station at the site of the current East 34th Street Station. 

The new Campus Station is near Tri-C Metro Campus and serves the Red, Blue and Green Lines, as well as bus routes 15, 19 and 76.

WHO:

Joe Calabrese, RTA CEO and General Manager, and civic leaders.

WHAT: 

RTA is building a new station at the site of the current station at 2820 East 34th St. The $7.5 million project will make the new Campus Station accessible to persons with disabilities and will be a major boost to the Opportunity Corridor and the Campus District.

11 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2017

WHERE:  

The East 34th Street Station, accessible from the Red, Blue or Green Lines. RTA encourages members of the media to ride any of the rail lines to the event. Nearby parking is limited. The station address is 2820 East 34th St.
