CLEVELAND -- The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) announces a weekend change in Red Line service.
This weekend, Saturday-Sunday, June 29-30, buses will replace Red Line trains rail from Tower City to the Airport, in both directions. The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) requested the shutdown as repairs continue on the West 74th Bridge, between Madison Avenue and West 74th Street. Demolition operations and foundation placing for the catenary structure, a support line to keep the Rapid moving, will be addressed. The rail line will be closed all service times starting Saturday, June 29, through the end of service on Sunday, June 30.
Replacement buses are always provided when trains are not in service. RTA apologizes for any inconvenience this construction may cause.
RTA provides quality, economic and safe public transportation via rail, bus and Paratransit throughout Cuyahoga County. Real-time information is available for all buses and trains. Check www.riderta.com or call the RTAnswerline at 216-621-9500.
