CLEVELAND -- The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) continues its summer of rail construction projects on the Red Line.
East Side
Until further notice, buses will serve customers on the Red Line between the Cedar-University Station and the Louis Stokes Station at Windermere. Construction continues on the Little Italy-University Circle Station, and is taking longer than anticipated.
West Side
July 30: 7p.m - done: Replacement buses serve customers between Tower City and West 117th Station while Norfolk Southern works on its bridge that crosses over RTA tracks near West 98th Street Station.
Aug 2-3: Replacement buses serve customers between Puritas and the Airport station only to allow for another weekend of repairs and upgrades.
Both dates: Customers will take a replacement bus instead of the train. Look for bus stop signs that say 66R. Plan on extra travel time in both directions.
RTA apologizes for the inconvenience. Orange barrels and construction on the rail means upgrades for a better system in the future. RTA understands that closures can be inconvenient.
RTA provides quality, economic and safe public transportation via rail, bus and Paratransit throughout Cuyahoga County. Real-time information is available for all buses and trains. Check www.riderta.com or call the RTAnswerline at 216-621-9500.
