CLEVELAND -- Thanks to the Rotary Club of Cleveland, 12 tall ships will visit Cleveland. The ships arrive at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3. Tours will be available July 4-7, on the property of the Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority, behind FirstEnergy Stadium.
July 3
One of the best vantage points to watch the ships enter the Cleveland Harbor is at Voinovich Bicentennial Park, on the north end of East Ninth Street. Bring your camera.
Ride the Waterfront Line to the North Coast Station, and walk to the park. Opening ceremonies begin at 4 p.m.
July 4-7
The ships will be available for tours and other activities at these times:
- 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m., Gates open
- 11 a.m.-6 p.m., Boarding for tours.
- 7-9 p.m., Private hospitality functions
Ride the Waterfront Line to the West Third Street Station, and walk to the Port Authority site. Or, you can ride the L-Line trolley on Saturday and Sunday.
RTA and other agencies will have an informational display at the festival. There will be entertainment dockside for the entire family.
