CLEVELAND -- The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) announces service replacement for all Red Line rail between Tower City and Cleveland Hopkins International Airport on Sunday, July 14, 2013. The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) requests the closure, from the start of service in the morning through the end of service Sunday evening.
ODOT continues its construction on two overpasses above the Red Line tracks. Buses will replace the Red Line between Tower City and Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, operating every 15 minutes. Riders should allow additional travel time. Pick up at Public Square will be in front of the Horseshoe Casino. At the Airport, replacement buses will pick up and drop off near the Limo Parking lot. Regular Red Line rail service will resume on Monday, July 15, 2013.
Replacement buses are always provided when trains are not in service. Buses will operate on a schedule close to that of the train. RTA apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause to customers.
RTA provides quality, economic and safe public transportation via rail, bus and Paratransit throughout Cuyahoga County. Real-time information is available for all buses and trains. Check www.riderta.com or call the RTAnswerline at 216-621-9500.
