CLEVELAND – The Waterfront Line is starting its 20th anniversary year at the center of a major Mardi Gras Crawl at the new $750 million Flats East Bank development on Saturday, Feb. 6.
The Flats East Bank Station on the Waterfront Line is just minutes away from the development.
The event, presented by Magic Hat Brewery, is from noon-6 p.m. Tickets are $10 (plus processing fees), and are available here.
Tickets include a Mardi Gras Crawl Passport and event access. The first 1,000 ticket purchasers will receive a Magic Hat Mardi Gras package with t-shirt, masks and Mardi Gras beads. The Mardi Gras package also includes a two-trip ticket to ride the Waterfront Line, compliments of Flats East Bank.
Your trip begins with a 3-minute ride on the Waterfront Line, from the Tower City Station to the Flats East Bank Station. Walk across the street to the lobby of the Ernst and Young Tower to check-in. There, you can enjoy a Mardi Gras-themed party, with bar, bands and giveaways.
Each ticket holder is asked to make a Magic Hat purchase at five or more of the 14 participating locations on the crawl. When they do, they will be entered to win a trip to Vermont, courtesy of Magic Hat.
When the event ends, you can stay for dinner, or ride the Waterfront Line back to Tower City. There take RTA’s Walkway (near the Tower City food court) to reach the Cavaliers 7:30 p.m. game against the New Orleans Pelicans at Quicken Loans Arena.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the non-profit HELP organization, dedicated to bringing Hope, Education, Love and Protection to children everywhere.
Magic Hat has the second largest Mardi Gras event in New Orleans. This year, Mardi Gras will be held on Fat Tuesday, Feb. 9.
