Feb. 10, 2016: RTA forum to discuss day care option near the Triskett Station

Feb 1, 2016

WHAT: The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) hosts an informational meeting to discuss a potential development of a Horizon Day Care Center on vacant land owned by RTA on Triskett Road, east of the Triskett Rapid Station.

WHEN: 7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016

WHERE: The Triskett Bus Garage, 13405 Lakewood Hts. Blvd., in the driver’s lounge area. Directional signs will be posted.

WHO: Ward 16 Cleveland City Councilman Brian Kazy, officials of the Bellaire-Puritas Development Corp. and RTA will be on hand to listen as representatives of the day care center present their plans for the vacant site.

DETAILS: Federal regulations require that land not in active transit use be declared excess and marketed appropriately. RTA has had this land on the market since 2008. RTA is seriously considering the Horizon Day Care proposal, because it could increase ridership and encourage additional investment in the area. RTA has conducted many market analysis for this site. Day-care service is regarded as one of the highest and best uses of this site.
