CLEVELAND -- The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) is extending free trolley service to accommodate those who want to attend the viewing of former Congressman Louis Stokes, who passed away Aug. 18.
The viewing is from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 24, 2015, in the Rotunda at City Hall, 601 Lakeside Ave.
NineTwelve Trolley
From 5:30 a.m.-6 p.m., the NineTwelve Trolley will serve the Municipal Parking Lot along the Shoreway, with a regular stop on the northwest corner of East Ninth Street and Lakeside Avenue, for easy access to City Hall.
The trolley continues south on East Ninth Street to Huron Avenue and East Sixth Street, and then returns to the Municipal Parking Lot.
Persons leaving City Hall to return to their cars should go to the bus shelter on the east side of East NInth Street, just north of Lakeside Avenue.
B-Line Trolley
From 7 a.m.-7 p.m., you can ride any Rapid line to the Tower City Station, and ride the free B-Line Trolley from Public Square directly to City Hall.
