CLEVELAND -- The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) hosted its first Megabus trip to Chicago out of the Stephanie Tubbs Jones (STJ) Transit Center this morning.
Megabus will depart Cleveland from STJ for two months as part of a RTA Board-approved pilot program, which allows Megabus to lease space from RTA. This agreement was also approved by Cleveland State University and the City of Cleveland.
The location provides a great connection to other RTA services for Megabus customers.
Megabus tickets must be purchased online in advance. Customers of both RTA and Megabus can use the indoor facilities at STJ.
The extension of this program will be evaluated at a later date.
Where to park
- The transit center is a bus-only facility. There are no spaces for cars to park.
- Most Megabus customers use the transit center for drop off or pick up only.
- CSU offers long-term parking for $10 a day in the fully automated South Garage, adjacent to the transit center. Enter off East 21st Street. The facility is open 24/7.
