CLEVELAND - The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) will collect money and canned goods from 1-5 p.m. Monday, April 4, 2016, at the Tower City Rapid Station, in support of this year's Harvest for Hunger campaign.
The focus will be to collect the Super 6 food items -- canned soup, canned stew, canned vegetables, cereal, tuna and peanut butter. Expired items can't be accepted. .
One in six people in Northeast Ohio don't know where their next meal will come from, so the need is great. The campaign can stretch every $1 into 4 meals for families in need.
Volunteers from RTA and the Cleveland Foodbank will be at the station to collect donations.
