Mechanic
Works under the technical direction of an Equipment Maintainer in the diagnosing and repairing of electrical and mechanical rail equipment. This position will promote a safe and secure atmosphere, follow all safety and security rules, and perform other related duties as assigned.

Laborer
Performs general labor duties for one or more departments throughout the GCRTA. Assists in maintaining a variety of equipment, utilizes hand tools and operates heavy equipment, provides excellent customer service to the public and performs other duties of a similar nature as may be required.

Hostler (Bus Cleaner/Porter)
Under the supervision of the Crew Chief and Equipment Supervisor, a Hostler drives vehicles through the fuel island and washer, checks vehicles for defects, parks vehicles in designated areas, maintains records of work activities, and performs other duties of a similar nature as required.

Transit Ambassador
Acts as a liaison between GCRTA and the community. Under direct supervision, provides a highly visible uniformed presence to assist GCRTA patrons as needed. Monitors activities at GCRTA stations and transit centers, and aboard GCRTA buses and trains during revenue service. Provides for fare inspections and performs related duties as assigned.

Patrols assigned areas to prevent disorder, criminal activity, and terrorism. Protects GCRTA passengers and employees within GCRTA designated areas and municipal areas of concurrent jurisdiction. Maintains peace and order on the rail, buses, stations, platforms, and any other property of RTA or areas of concurrent jurisdiction. Prepares reports and maintains associated responsibilities concerning reported information. Practices safety precautions and measures at all times.

Functions as a Customer Service Ambassador for GCRTA by providing a safe, efficient, and quality transportation service to customers. Transports customers by operating any type of motor coach or train during regularly scheduled routes and special service routes while observing route time schedule, safety rules and regulations, and State and municipal traffic laws. Operates the fare collection equipment, including transfers/refund slips, for customers boarding and exiting the bus. Practices safety precautions and measures always and performs other duties of a similar nature as may be required. Works overtime as necessitated by operational needs.

Picks up and transports senior citizens and ADA customers to their destinations in a safe and timely manner. Reviews basic operating conditions of assigned coach assigned trip destination(s), routing schedule(s) and other applicable criteria to ensure efficient preparations. Provides the highest level of customer service to customers.
