The RTA Board of Trustees met at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019.  All of the committees met except for the Committee of the Whole and Audit, Safety Compliance and Real Estate, which will be rescheduled.

External and Stakeholder Relations & Advocacy Committee

  • Presentation on the financial and economic forecast review being conducted by the Greater Cleveland Partnership (GCP).

Organizational, Services & Performance Monitoring Committee

  • RFP Procurement:
    • Presentation on negotiated procurement to repair a damaged GCRTA Gillig CNG bus.

Operational Planning & Infrastructure Committee

  • RFP Procurement:
    • Presentation on negotiated procurement for a consultant to provide a strategic plan update. 
    • Presentation on negotiated procurement to provide contracted paratransit services to the Authority.
    • Presentation on negotiated procurement to provide engineering services for the rehabilitation of the Tower City east portal.
  • Discussion of an interagency agreement for RTA to utilize the Multi-Agency Radio Communication System for the operation of its radio system.

Committee of the Whole - RESCHEDULED FOR FEB. 19TH

  • Review the proposed amendment to Article II, Sections 1 and 8 of the Bylaws of the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority to separate the positions of the CEO, General Manager and Secretary-Treasurer.
  • Discussion on extending the appointment of Floun’say R. Caver, PhD, to the position of Interim CEO, General Manager/Secretary-Treasurer.

Special Board Meeting 

  • Ratifying an increase and extension to Contract No. 2013-138 with Unifirst Corporation for the rental and maintenance of shop uniforms. 

Audit, Safety Compliance and Real Estate Committee - RESCHEDULED FOR FEB. 19TH

  • Executive Session requested to discuss real estate.
