Riding Options | Downtown Trolleys & Loop Riding Options: Downtown Trolleys & Loop
Trolleys are back in Cleveland, and you can hop on for free with a smile. There are two available trolley routes, with the E-Line serving Euclid Avenue, the Warehouse District on W 9, the Entertainment District on E 4, and the theatres in Playhouse Square, while the B-Line circles Superior and Lakeside Avenues between E 12 and the Warehouse District. The E-Line runs from 7:00am - 11:00pm weekdays, while the B-Line runs 7:00am - 7:00pm weekdays. Each line runs with a 10 minute service interval, so you're never far away from quick, easy, and FREE downtown transportation! At their inception, the free Trolley service was made possible by a contribution from the Convention & Vistors Bureau of Greater Cleveland. In late 2006, it was announced that the free service would continue through the first six months of 2007, courtesy of a sponsorship arrangement with The Corner Alley and 4th Street Bar & Grill. For commuters who might be driving into downtown, RTA also offers convenient shuttle service from the downtown Municipal Parking Lot to Tower City via the #47 line. This service costs $1.00 per ride, the same as our community circulators, and provides an easy way to combine the convenience of bringing your personal vehicle downtown with the economy of parking at the affordable Muny Lot. The Public Square / Muny Loop shuttle is available weekdays from 5:30am - 9:15am and 2:45pm - 6:00pm.
