CLEVELAND -- The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) Airport Rapid Transit Station is now open.
After a seven-month construction project, when customers were served by buses, the airport tunnel has been upgraded. Service was restored on Sunday June 9. Here are some details on the entire $10 million airport tunnel reconstruction project.
This is the second of two major Red Line projects completed this spring. Service was restored on May 26 on the S-Curve, after a $7 million upgrade to the tracks between the West 117th and West Blvd. Rapid stations.
All segments of the Red Line between Tower City and Cleveland Hopkins International Airport are now in service.
