CLEVELAND, OH – The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) is reporting that two employees tested positive for COVID-19 this week.
One employee is a maintenance worker at the Triskett District and first noticed symptoms and self-quarantined on June 22. That was also the employee’s last day worked. The employee tested positive on July 5.
A second employee who works in management at Paratransit has been out of the office since June 12 for non COVID-related events and tested positive on July 6.
Following our standard protocol, work areas, equipment and other areas of potential exposure were cleaned and disinfected. Additionally, other staff members who had been in contact with the employees were notified.
To date, 25 RTA employees have tested positive for COVID-19, and 13 have fully recovered and have returned to work.
