CLEVELAND, OH – Cuyahoga County has appointed Roberta Duarte to serve a three-year term on the Board of Trustees of the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA). Ms. Duarte will be sworn in at the next RTA Board Committee meeting Tuesday, May 11. She replaces Justin M. Bibb whose term expired in March, 2021.
Ms. Duarte is a Project Manager at JumpStart, Inc, where she connects with a wide range of multigenerational community leaders, community organizations and entrepreneurs throughout JumpStart’s Ohio and New York markets.
Ms. Duarte founded AREKO consulting in 2019, and is responsible for leading culturally competent initiatives with a global and public health approach, and most recently participated in RTA’s 25Connects project. She is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College. Ms. Duarte’s full bio is here.
The two other members appointed by Cuyahoga County to the 10-member Board of Trustees are attorney Karen Gabriel Moss, board vice president, and Terence P. Joyce. The City of Cleveland appoints four members and the Mayor’s and City Managers appoint three.
