The American Public Transportation Association (APTA) elected The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority’s (GCRTA) Rail Equipment Manager, Casey Blaze to the position of Secretary of the APTA Light Rail Forum during their recent Light Rail Committee meeting in September.
The Light Rail Technical Forum provides a platform for the study and discussion of technical and operational issues inherent in light rail transit systems. Additionally, the Forum advances the growth and public acceptance of light rail transit.
“I am very pleased and excited about Mr. Blaze being nominated and elected as Secretary of the APTA Light Rail Technical Forum,” said GCRTA General Manager and Chief Executive Officer India L. Birdsong Terry. “He is a strong leader committed to delivering innovation and exceptional service to drive company success, and his professional experience and expertise on rail systems will be a great asset to this committee.”
As Secretary, Mr. Blaze will be part of a committee that oversees a multitude of topics surrounding Light Rail Transit nationwide. Mr. Blaze will serve a two-year term ending in 2026.
