About this Project
Funded by a Federal Transit Administration grant (FTA), GCRTA will create a plan to address issues that may increase residents’ ability to access public transit in neighborhoods within GCRTA’s service area. The study will look at areas identified as being at or above 20% poverty over a time period from 2000 to 2025.
- Safety – Lack of lighting in transit waiting areas
- Operator Customer Service – Operators need more training in route planning for customer interaction
- Cleanliness – Increase frequency of bus shelter and vehicle cleaning
- Service Availability – Route frequency to essential destinations like grocery stores
- Transfer Policy – Lack of clarity on transfer policy
