CLEVELAND -- If you like ribs, rides and rock-n-roll, there’s a great event waiting for you during the Memorial Day weekend. The ribs are tasty, the rides are free and rock-n-roll is pure Cleveland. This is the 23rd year for Cleveland's biggest and best Barbeque Party.
Ribs, rides and rock-and-roll
Ribs: Live Nation, the Greater Cleveland Aquarium and other sponsors bring you Marc’s Great American Rib Cook-off ® and Music Festival, May 23-26, 2014, at Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica. The Greater Cleveland Aquarium is located in the FirstEnergy Powerhouse, next to Nautica, on the west bank of the Flats.
Free rides: Persons heading to and from the cook-off can ride any Rapid line free to the Settlers Landing Station on the Waterfront Line. From there, it is a short walk to Nautica. All free rides are underwritten by Live Nation, Jacobs Entertainment and the Greater Cleveland Aquarium.
Rock-n-Roll: All musical entertainment will be listed here.
Hours
Festival: Noon-11 p.m. Friday-Sunday. Noon-8 p.m. Monday. Friday admission is $1 all day. Free admission until 3 p.m. S aturday and Sunday.
Greater Cleveland Aquarium: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. each day, with the last admission at 4 p.m.
Waterfront Line: On Friday-Saturday-Sunday, May 23-25, the Waterfront Line will offer extended hours. The last eastbound Green Line train is scheduled to leave Settler's Landing at 11:56 p.m. The last eastbound Blue Line train is scheduled to leave Settler's Landing at 12:11 a.m. On Monday, May 26, the Waterfront Line will operate normal Sunday/holiday hours, which will cover all hours the event is open.
